I want to know more about the southern kids being able to take computers home.
Well, most of our homework is on our website so we take computers home look up our homework in each class and di it on our computer. we also have all of our textbooks in a folder, just in case we get bookwork.
we have laptops and we can take them home and we can play games and stuff if you want and get o websites but some are blocked
On your school's website I saw that you have the 1 to 1 technology program. I was wondering how much it benefits you and how?
Its pretty nice because every kid gets their own laptop for eighth and ninth grade, but you don't get to keep it through the rest of high school.
I noticed on your school calendar that each day was either blue or white. What is the difference between a blue day at your school compared to a white day?
Blue and white days are rotating days throughout the week. You have the same class at the same time everyday except for one and it can be any of our 4 blocks. On one (blue or white) you have an elective (art, choir, band, etc.) and on the other you have PE.
On a blue day you might have P.E. and on a white day you might have band. One of your blocks switches back and forth every day. For instance my 3rd block class switches every day.
On blue and white days you either have p.e. or the elective class that you chose. Blue and white day always alternate between days. For example, I have choir for blue days and p.e. I have white days so that means today I have choir (it's a blue day) and tomorrow I have p.e. and so on so forth.
Like for me on blue day I going to p.e. or a.k.a gym and on white day I go to theater. All it is, is that we get a chance to go to gym and a class that not one of the four main subjects.
the white days you have like p.e and the blue days you have your elective class, as to me it's German class. so your classes switch between elective and p.e
You could have school without it since you can take your laptop everywhere and the library is kind of just there to borrow books
Our exploratory classes alternate every other day. So on a blue day I have PE and on a white day I have band. So whatever you pick for your exploratory it will alternate every other day with PE.
you have a pe class and an exploratory class. so for example you would go to pe on a blue day, Monday, and then you would go to like maybe theater on Tuesday instead of pe
I would like to know, how often do you use your library and could you have school without it?
I honestly don't really use the library unless we go as a class. we could still have school with out it.
Our library is just a book place where you can go check out a book and some students that don't have computer can do the stuff you have to do on the computer. For me I can go without it because I have a computer and on my school website there a link where you can check out books on your computer.
I wanted to know more about how the climate is in Alabama? I also want to know how many students total go to your school district?
in Alabama the climate is warm and very hot during the summer, and alot of students attend AJHS.
We have about 1200 kids at the junior high, and I don't know about the high school.
Here in Michigan, we have many snow days. We have so many we have 6 reserved days so we don't have to add on extra days at the end of the year. Since you live in the South, there is little snow. So, what conditions do you have that result of school canceling?
We have one day reserved just in case we have to miss school because of snow. When we miss it is usually because we have ice on the roads and not even an inch of snow. If we do not miss school and don't need that extra day, sometime in April we get a day off. If we go over the one day off limit, we start getting days taken from our spring break. The last time we missed one day of school was last year.
Honestly, us Southerners are pretty freaked out when it snows down here. And actually, we missed three days last year and the snow didn't even stick to the grass. (but there was ice on the roads)
That is interesting that you say that because if the roads are kind of icy and there is not an inch of snow on the ground in December or January or even February, people think that the roads are nice, and that were lucky we don't have a foot of snow on the ground. At the same time we'd be in School, waiting for the day a foot of snow will come and we can have a snow day. However, if the roads are bad enough, although it doesn't happen often, we can have a snow day that way. Or if it goes below zero, unless were over our limit, like right now.
Actually, it is very rare for Auburn Al. to get snow, but when we do we just take the day off and normally that comes from a holiday break, we normally don`t take days away from summer.
I have actually lived in Kalamazoo for about 5-6 years of my life! When you say snow days, I remember my school closing for a couple of days. If you are wondering, I went to Arcadia Elementary School.
Back to your question, our conditions of school canceling are most likely an effect of the icey snow because this causes driving a really hard task, so this results in a cancelling of school.
Living in the south we hardly get any snow ,so when we have snow it has to be really bad for Auburn City Schools to close. Last year we had snow so the schools closed only because is was dangerous to drive on the snow but those days were excused because we never used up our snow days.
What are the major political beliefs down south. How do you stand by it? Do you believe in the Republican or Democratic system, if so why?
I'm pretty sure most people are republicans.
We asked this question before in a teleconference, but I am still confused about what Auburn Junior High School students do on blue and white days? Please be specific.
Okay so, Blue and white days are just used to help separate our gym period and our extracuriculor. For instince I take theatre so on one day I would have gym then the next day I would have theatre, and it keeps going. Also we have science and social st. differently too! Half of the year we take one then the other half its the other one, and its different for everyone. I had science last half and now I have social st.
For example, my exploratory is theater. On blue days you go to your exploratory. On white days you go to pe or health. The rest of your schedule is the same.
White and blue days are rotating days. On a Monday, we might have a blue day, and the next day, we will have a white day. For me, white days are PE and blue days are art. One of my friends have health white and art blue. It really depends on the person and their elective.
How many people do you have on each team? In Mattawan we have 2 teams slit into about 150 people in each team and you have 4 teams.
I don't know exactly how many people are on each team, but we do have five eighth and five ninth grade teams. But we really don't to anything besides field trips with our teams.
When I looked around on the Auburn Junior High School website, I found it looked like your surroundings were mostly woods, I was wondering if you could tell me what is surrounding your school?
Our school is right next to the Auburn University campus. Behind our school is some little houses that students and/or families can live in. In front of our school is a street and more houses. There is little park to the right of our school. There is a lot if trees but not just an area of woods right next to our school. The area feels very tight with the small roads and houses all around. Did any of that make sense?
It's mostly wood, mainly because we have hiking trails close by like at Chewacla Park, but our campus is surrounded by trees and college students or restaurants.
I am wondering if the students have the same schedule every day?
At our school, we have the same schedule every day but they are changed every semester.
we do change schedules everyday. we have blue and white days but this only conflicts with our PE/Health and our exploratory class. our first semester you either had science or social studies then the second semester you have the one you didn't have first semester.
After looking at your school's websites I am wondering how many students are there in your district? I noticed that you have several schools that are part of your district. Here in Mattawan we only have four schools. Our student population is between three and four thousand students. Because of all the schools you have, I was wondering what your district's student population is?
The total student population here in Lee County is about 20,000 students.
I noticed, upon viewing the Auburn School website, that the library is open not only during school at all times, but before and after school as well. I'm wondering how often students take advantage of this privilege at Auburn, because here, we don't have it open to us untill highschool.
I really don't pay attention to the library times because people rarely ever go there. I went about four times this year and they were all with my language class.
Something I am wondering now is, what kinds of technology do you use in your classes?
We all have our own laptops that we get to keep all year and take home. We also have smartboards in every room.
I was wondering what you do during 120 minute classes and if it gets irritating being with the same people for that long of a time?
We do the same thing ya'll do. We learn and talk. Of course it gets annoying to be with the people and that teacher for that long but we only have four classes at a time.
By now we are all use to each other, and honestly time seems to fly by. I like it better with longer and less classes because if you are lucky you can usually get all your homework done and you don't have as many classes to study for. Last year we had one hour classes and it was not as easy as it is now. It does sound like a lot of time but it really does make the end of the day seem to come faster.
I want to know more about your technology. We have MacBooks and MacBook Pro's, and you have HP Elite Book Revolves (according to your school's website). It appears to be that you get your own HP Elite Book Revolve. Because of that, I would like to know more about what it's like to have your own personal school laptop, and a little bit about what the HP Elite Book Revolves are like with the touchscreen capability .
I am still wondering if it is required to participate in a sport? Because I noticed that your school website looks like a lot of people were involved in sports/clubs.
We are not required to do any sort of extra curricular activities, but most people in the school are. I myself am not, but I take piano outside of school.
it is not required but almost everyone here is in a sport or club.
What are you doing for 120 minutes? That is a long time. One class that long would be too long for me to handle.
All of our classes are 90 minutes, the 120 minute period is in the middle of the day and 30 minutes of the middle block is lunch.
But, on Fridays we have about ten minutes added on to each class period because there is no advisory, so no one really likes the Friday schedule.
While I was searching the many websites that we were given, I discovered that Auburn has many events that happen in the area (e.g., Festivals, Parades, Broadcasted Shows…). I was wondering if there is an event that is favored more than the other events?
I was wondering what technology you use while you are in school?
we use are touch screen laptops sometimes are phones the smart board and library computers
What sports do you play in the month december? Sense it is so warm & sunny.
It's never hot during the month of December. it's not as cold as it is down there obviously... but it's not warm either. We usually do conditioning at a gym or something.
We do not play sports in the month of December, it is way too cold for that.
What is way too cold for you guys anyway? For us that could -10 :).
But, I know that in some places of the South, 60 degrees is way too cold.
Some sports do run through December, for example there is indoor track (which really isn't indoors), baseball, wrestling, and softball conditioning (but that's indoors)
What activities are you involved in during gym?
We do a lot of different games like basketball, handball, keep away, baseball, volleyball and a lot of other stuff. We switch activities every couple of weeks.
Caleb D, Can you please explain the game of Handball?
I am still wondering how many students actually particapate in the sports that the school offers.
I noticed on Google Maps that there was a somewhat large lake called, Auburn City Lake. However, on the video conference you only mentioned Lake Martin. But, Lake Martin is 45 minutes away and Auburn City Lake is only 10 minutes away, why did you say Lake Martin was the closest lake when the question was "what is your nearest lake?"
To Trevor W,
First of all we live in Auburn Al so we know what were talking about when you ask us questions about our city. Auburn city lake is simply a somewhat average size pond.
Okay, I was just confused because most inland lakes around here you can swim in, and usually have some sort of public access. And, yes, I did kind of notice if you put google maps on satellite view it shows Auburn City Lake as a greenish color. But thanks for clarifying.
I think the reason someone responded with Lake Martin because it is a very popular lake for the people of Alabama. We spend a majority of our summer either at Lake Martin or at the beach.
I am wondering what do you do on your summer vacation?
I go to the beach a lot
I go to the beach a lot. or Lake Martin that we told ya'll about.I play travel ball too.
Personally, I go to the beach, go swimming, and just have fun.
Hey Auburn! I noticed that a lot of the sports that you play are the same. I play football with a handful of the boys in my grade and I was wondering if there are any rules against a girl playing a boys sport, r a boy playing a girls sport?
There isn't a rule but nobody has ever really done that.
Here in Michigan, we have many snow days. We get so many, that the school board reserves 6 days so we don't have to add on more days at the end of the school year. Since you live in the South, you obviously don't get much snow. So what conditions do you have the same result of school canceling?
When it does snow we don't go to school because of the snow being kind of ice. we also will get out if there is suppose to be really bad weather like a tornado witch doesn't happen much. we usually don't have to make up days we had a lot of snow days last year for us I am sure it wasn't as much as you do but it was cool for us. we didn't have to make any days up though.
We rarely have school cancelled because of weather, but when we do it usually because of ice. If there is ice on roads, they cancel school because of safety concerns for transportation.
I was wondering if any of you lived near a lake or body of water? If so, how often can you go? All year around or just in the summers like we do in Michigan?
We have a Lake called Lake Martin and we go to it mostly in the summer.
Yes, we do we live about 35 minutes away from the biggest man-made lake in Alabama, Lake Martin. Which everyone goes to and it stays really popular just about all year round.
How much money does a student usually pay for a typical meal at lunch?
I saw that Auburn had fishing as a school sport. I was wondering if you have fishing tournaments or do you just meet after school, go to the nearest lake and just fish for fun?
Yes, the fishing team goes to about 2 tournaments a month around Alabama.
Tell me more about the weather. Is Alabama a common place for natural disasters like tornadoes and hurricanes?
The weather in Alabama is hot in the summer and relatively cold in the winter. I don't think there has ever been a hurricane in Auburn, but tornadoes do occur.
I saw that you have a zero period, what exactly is that?
a Zero period is when you do something like Art in the morning before school because you are interested in that thing but you aren't in the class or your teacher wants you to come to practice a little bit more like in band.
zero period is the time to take the class you want to take, but don't have time to take it. In our school, there are blue and white days, which you can have an elective and P.E, and total periods we have is 5. Some students wants to take band and Spanish at once. So they take either band or Spanish zero period.
When I first opened the Auburn school page I noticed that the school logo has a tiger, computer, sports, and the arts. I'm wondering if your school is really dedicated to those items.
I noticed that on your website there is a way to recommend books to the school's library. How often is this tool used?
I noticed that at Auburn, students have to rent their lockers. I am now wondering what that money goes towards if it is a multitude of things or just specifically for something like the technology program?
I was wondering what time your school starts because I noticed on your website that you have breakfast.
Well, our school starts at 8:05, but a lot of people get her around 7:30 to have breakfast.
I was wondering when looking at your handbook online it said you could rent a locker. I was wondering if you pay by month or year. In Michigan they provide a locker and it's free.
Not everybody gets a locker but if you do you pay at the beginning of the year and its yours until the year is over.
I noticed on one of the websites that a lot of movies were filmed around there, such as; 42, To Kill a Mockingbird, Tom Sawyer, Friday the 13th VII, etc.. I was wondering if you see movies being filmed and if you see the actors around the town.
I didn't know Friday the 13th was filmed here, that is really cool!
While researching, I read that the U.S Census Bureau estimates Auburn as the 6th fastest growing city in the U.S since 2010. Now I'm wondering, what is the average number of new students to attend Auburn Junior High each year?
I saw on Auburn's school website that you have bus routes, how long do the bus rides normally take?
When I was on www.auburnschools.org I saw a schedule that said Day Time Sessions and under that it said Thursday February 12 @ 8:00AM-last names A&B and Thursday February 12 @ 9:50AM last names L,D,and E. I was wondering what does this mean?
Are snakes a problem because I saw on the government website that Alabama has almost 30 different speces of non venamous snakes and 7 or 8 speces of venomus snakes.
I remember every once I a while I would see a snake on my street during the summer. One summer my dog was in our backyard and got attacked by a baby snake hiding in the pine straw. The snake was not venomous and my dog was fine, he just needed stiches. Snakes are never a "problem" but we still have to be careful when we are in the woods or outside during the summer.
I was looking at the Alabama state travel site and noticed that there are a lot of beautiful state parks. I am wondering what is so special about the area (lakes, rivers, valleys, etc.) that makes it so they are named state parks? Also, what are the best places in Alabama to go to?
I was looking at your school schedule and I was wondering what is zero period and what do you do in it?
Zero period is optional if students want to come and take a class at 7 a.m. and have a normal schedule when school starts at 8 a.m. The classes you can take are Spanish, French and band. It is honestly to early for me, but I THINK a lot of the people do it to get a head start on high school credits.
While I was looking at your school website, I noticed that you were doing donations for veterans and other projects in your community. I was wondering who organizes these fundraisers? Does the administration, the teachers, or the students organize these fundraisers? Also, if the students organize these, then is there a student councils or some other group of students who organizes them?
I noticed on your electives there are so many different and same kinds. For example, Theatre 8 and Theatre 9, along with finding your profession. So, how many class periods are electives, and when are they?
I was checking out the Auburn school page, and I kept seeing pictures of the wrestling team. Is the wrestling system big at Auburn?
Football is always the number one talked about sport in Auburn. You are probably seeing all those wrestling photos because it is wrestling season and not football season.
I was wondering what do you like about having longer classes?
Having only four classes a day make the day go by much faster than having seven, like we did in middle school and elementary school.
During the last teleconference when you showed us your schedule, you said that on Fridays something changes. What changes in your schedule and why?
On Friday's, we do not have advisory. Advisory is just a class where we go and work on homework, hear the school announcements, and watch our school news. Every student at our school goes to advisory after their third class of the day. The reason we do not have it on Friday is so that all the other classes will be longer so we can have more time to take tests.
I am curious about the movies that were being produced at your school. Were they being filmed while school was in session?
On your school website it mentions the PSAT. What is the PSAT? And how often do you have to take it?
The PSAT is the Preparatory Scholastic Aptitude Test. It helps you get ready for the SAT (test scores that colleges look at). We take it just for practice, but in 11th grade, if we get above a certain score, we could qualify for different scholarships. This test is optional and is available to all 9th graders and 8th graders who take Algebra 1.
I noticed that, when looking at Auburn's school website, there was a field trip going somewhere and the cost to go was around $35. I was wondering around how much it usually costs to go on your field trips?
I am wondering what the FACES program is, and how you use it?
I was wondering what kind of activities you typically do outside of school?
I saw on the Auburn Junior High website that you can get suspended from riding the bus if you talk to the bus driver unless it is an emergency. How much do they actually enforce this rule?
It actually happens a lot more than you think, especially at eh middle school.
I was wondering how many breaks you have because on your school calendar your spring break was one week, but ours is a week and a half, so do you get more shorter breaks or just less time of in general.
I was wondering if you're allowed to have your own technology for school work at times.
In the past, you said you have 90 minute classes, so I was wondering when your school day starts and ends.
The school day starts at 8:05 and ends at 3:25, but some people go to zero period which is a period before school.
I noticed that there are many interesting places to go in Alabama. What are some of the more popular locations?
I noticed that your school has swimming as a school sport. I was wondering why swimming is a fall sport instead of a winter sport?
I saw on a trip advisor site that Alabama has a national monument, I was wondering what it is?
That would be the Vulcan statue in Birmingham! It's a very large metal statue that you can go inside, I've been to it but never inside.
While looking at your school's web page, I noticed that your school has a football team for each grade. What was your eighth grade team's record? Also, I noticed that your school was very close to the Auburn University complex. Is traffic an issue around your area?
AHS dominates in every sport we had 2 five stars on ahs at the same time
I noticed on the Auburn website that the eighth graders get to go to the Auburn College and I wondered if the eighth graders get to go every year.
We are actually five minutes walking distance from the university and sometimes students go downtown to each lunch and hang out after school.
I was looking at the travel website and I noticed that there are many places to visit in Alabama, any amusement parks?
There aren't any amusement parks that I know of, there was one in the works but I don't think it was ever built. We did used to have a water park here in Auburn but it was shut down. If you really want to go to an amusement park you go to Florida.
I was wondering where some of you take vacations like for spring break, and summer break?
My family likes to go to the beach. I know that a lot of other people like to go to the lake as well.
One thing I noticed was that on Monday-Thursday the schedule has a Fourth block, but on Fridays it is gone all together and the schedule goes from third to fifth. I was wondering why this happens?
Our forth block class is our advisory class (which is about 30 minutes), on Fridays instead of going to advisory they just add a couple minutes to our other classes.
I was wondering about the weather in the South, have you ever had snow, and what is your summer, spring, fall and winter like?
Yes, we have snow maybe 2 days every year. Spring and summer and really hot, starting at the end of march until late august. Fall is usually cool but not freezing. Most days in the winter are cold (to us at least). The coldest day we have had so far was 26 degrees last week, but most of us still wore light jackets.
26 degrees! Wow, that is pretty warm. Most of the winter time it stays below 20 and on crazily cold days it can get into the negatives with wind chills a lot colder. Like this weekend, the low is -10 but if it does get that cold the wind chill will probably be about -25 to -35 depending on the speed of the wind.
I noticed while drifting through Auburn's website under the academics tab it mentioned that there is a computer programing session. I was wondering what that program's day consists of?
I was wondering how often, if at all, people in Alabama travel to the state parks, beaches, tourist sights, etc.? Is Auburn close to some state parks or beaches? Which ones are the favorites of people who live down in the south?
I think most people like Chewacla the best.
When I looked at your website I went to your spots link. It surprised me to see how many sports there are at your school and also how many kids play each sport. It makes me wonder if it is because you are so close to Auburn University which is very good in all sports. Do many of students from your school get athletic scholarships?
I heard that in Auburn there is a theater class and I was wondering if you put on plays for your entire school.
I noticed you have multiple Elementary schools in your district? I also was wondering how are the schools organized? By grade levels? By location?
When looking at the faculty, I noticed that unlike our school which only has the foreign language of Spanish, Auburn has Spanish, French, and I believe German. Is there a requirement for having to take one of those languages?
I noticed that your classes are longer. So, I was wondering, do any of you have the feeling that you want to make the classes shorter? If so, how long would you make each class?
our classes are very long. Monday- Thursday, our classes are 90 minutes long... and on Fridays our classes extend and make our classes 100 minutes...
I'll like a hour long class.
At our school the football team has about 30 kids and if I counted correctly your team had about 60 players. Why does your 8th grade football team have so many players?
I was wondering, how many redheads do you have at your school?
While looking through Auburn's school website, I noticed that all Auburn schools in the district had lots of extra curricular activities and events within each month. Who runs those types of activities and how many people from school attend them?
Noticing your logo and the art, sports, and music symbols makes me wonder, how important extracurricular activities are in your school? I want to know if art is important and if anyone at your school is an artist or musician? If so, what genre of music and art do they like?
In Alabama I noticed that you start school in August and end in July. In Michigan we start in September and end in June. Does your state have a law about it? Or do you think it's because of climate?
Our school actually starts in August and ends in May but I think that it's different mainly because of the climate and making sure that we don't have a heatstroke at school (haha, just kidding...maybe).
we need school in may
I noticed on the Auburn school's website something about a success program. I was wondering what the success program is?
I want to know more about your school, like how big is the school or how many classrooms does it have?
our school is pretty big. we have about six big buildings. I'm not sure how many classrooms we have, but maybe eight (in a one story buildings) and 20 (in a two story building). We have an 8th grade math building, 9th grade building, elective building (really pretty...to me), and cafeteria, gym, main building, and a regular class building. Our building is called by a number. For example, 300 building, 900 building... Our school also has a swimming pool and big, big fields where you can walk and do sports in.
I was wondering how many students are in each class period?
After looking at the Auburn school's website, I noticed that the yearbooks that the students at your school purchase are more expensive than ours, why is that?
We have around 1,200 student at our school in 8th and 9th grade and it's just really expensive to make a yearbook with that many people. We have a yearbook club that meets for 30 min. for 4 days a week during school that helps make the yearbook.
On the AJHS website, I noticed that there were many sports that you can participate in. I'm curious if lacrosse is an available sport at AJHS? If so, is it just allowed for girls, or for both boys and girls?
We don't offer lacrosse as a school sport but, there is a travel team called auburn that a lot of kids play on from our school. They play their home games at our football field so it's close to being a school team but the school doesn't give them any funding's.
While I was on your school website I was seeing that you are able to take home the computers. I am wondering how long students are allowed to use the computers and take them home. All year?
We are allowed to take the laptops home all year, in the beginning of the school year we pay to keep them all year long and we are allowed to use them whenever we want (if it's okay with the teachers).
I noticed that on your website you are the Auburn Tigers. Did you get that idea from the actual Auburn Tigers and if so are you closely affiliated with them?
What is the most attractive place that tourists want to go to in Alabama during Spring break or summer?
Most people go to the beach. They either go to Gulf Shores, Mobile, or places in Florida. We also go to Lake Martin.
I saw on your yearly calendar that you have Veteran's Day off. I'm wondering if you had a certain reason for you to have it off?
At our school we have two different teams for 8th grade, I am wondering if you have that too?
We have four different teams: The Titans, Synergy, The Dream Team, and The Crew (the best team, not that I'm biased...)
I noticed while looking on the Alabama travel website that there is lots of beautiful scenery. It surprised me how nice the scenery was. I expected lots of flat dry land. Can you tell me more about the scenery?
On the homepage of the Weebly website, your school has the two different teams, Crew and Titans, instead of just having Team 1 and Team 2 like us. Why is that?
we actually have 4 teams , the crew , The titans , The dream team , The synergy. but only the crew and titans are doing this with yall. the other 2 teams aren't. in 9th grade we have 4 teams too.
I noticed that the music culture is common in Alabama. There are many music halls of fame, and I was wondering if anyone has been to one? What are they like?
I am wondering how peer help works in the South. What age do you have to be to particapate?
I noticed on the Alabama state website, that there are a lot of very pretty nature scenes. A couple that stood out to me were the rivers, lakes and waterfalls. I am wondering if you like to go to them? Or if they are popular to go to?
As I was looking at the Alabama website, I saw pictures of a light show with animals, what is that about and is it a special event?
I am wondering how big of a beach you have on the ocean, and if you frequent it.
I'm wondering about your school fishing team. What type of fish is mostly caught? How many people per team? Do you fish off a dock or off a boat?
I noticed on your school website that you have a student breakfast. I am wondering how many people get breakfast and what your choices are.
I read on outdooralabama.com that a common animal sited is a California Sea Lion. That really amazes me. I am wondering if the Sea Lions are actually from California or if that is just the name?
When we were looking on the Auburn school website, I saw that you have peer tutoring to offer. I am wondering how that works. Do you go to the Main office and apply for a tutor or can you choose a tutor that you want? Also, do you go to a house, library, or just stay after school to meet with your tutor? Lastly, is there a certain age you have to be to tutor someone there?
I am wondering if your school has lacrosse. I saw that on your sports page there are many sports at your school. I didn't see lacrosse. If you do, are the teams split up by gender, grade level, skill level, age range, or is it based on how many people sign up for the team? Up here in Mattawan in the middle school we have Girls lacrosse and boys lacrosse teams.
