I really loved your essay and how much you put your personal life into it! I also loved the title! :)
I like how your essay related to your life and talked about your family and how you create your own happiness.
When I first read your story I thought that it must have been really sad and how could you do it. But after reading more I learned how you could be the way you are. Happy
I like how you seem like you try to always be happy and positive, even when it's hard to.
The begging of your essay really hooks your reader in! And your title made me want to read your essay! :)
I like how you expressed your feelings, which is happy.
I actually had a lot of fun reading this. You made it really obvious that you aren't just different from people in the everyday world that I think you are very unique compared to even other military people. I don't hear about naval forces, army soldiers, or people even distantly connected to that kind of stuff, telling about their personal thoughts, just that they even somewhat brag about how they don't share personal ideas or thoughts. What is unique about you is that you're being such an open book and at least your sharing WHY you became and think the way you do. It's also very contradictory that you seem very optimistic. I think everybody would agree that people going through what you did, would be more pessimistic, but you're not at all like that. Keep doing, thinking, and saying the things you do. It makes you a stronger soldier than I think anybody with a gun could ever be.
The title really drew me into reading this. I also enjoyed how you weren't afraid to talk about your personal life. And the emotion in it too. I loved it.
I find this really adventurous of how much effort that happens in your life and how you didn't seem to care the new people in life once you moved.
I liked how you are always trying to be happy and positive. Even when your not having the best day.
